Teaching principles of our school:

The lesson is taught in the foreign language.
The native language is used minimally and only as a helping tool.

Our goal is communication. Knowing a language means that
you can communicate in that language and not
that you know the rules by heart!.

The error is part of the learning process and therefore,
it is welcome and useful.

The teacher is next to the student and provides support in every step.
The classroom is a community.

Respect, friendly environment, good atmosphere encourage deeper and better learning.

Respect has nothing to do with fear! In fact, much too often fear is the opposite of respect.

The lesson is enriched through the use of authentic texts
(literary books, articles, comics, magazines, poems etc).

At the same time, we encourage the creative use of the language
through activities, games and creative writing.

The purpose of in-school assessment is not to check who did their homework and who didn’t, but for the teacher to understand what parts of the material are fully understood and what not. Each test assesses both the student and the teacher.

High-stakes exams can be seen as a useful opportunity for certification of language proficiency but this is not an end in itself. If I know a language well, I can easily pass a language exam. The goal is not to learn to pass exams but to learn the language!

"The limits of my language mean the limits of my world"
